Players from the Chilean national team manifested their desire to secure their berth in the 2010 World Cup when they face Colombia in Medellin next Saturday.

According to the members of the squad, who are working in Santiago looking ahead to both qualifiers against Colombia and Ecuador, they should have already qualified for the World Cup by next week.

"Not long is left and it is the moment to obtain the tickets to the World Cup. We were never overconfident and the earlier matches were not beneficial for us. Anyway, nobody is more calm than us," said Claudio Bravo, the captain of Chile.

In the earlier matches, Chile only drew with Venezuela and lost against Brazil, but with 27 points, their possibilities of qualifying for the World Cup are still intact, and a victory over Colombia in Medellin will send them straight to the World Cup along with Brazil and Paraguay.
