Colombia Announces New Oil Find
Apr 07 -- State-controlled oil company Ecopetrol said on Monday it made its first oil find of the year in the southern Colombian province of Putumayo.

The company said it confirmed that the Quriyana-1 well, located in a field near the rural town of Orito, contained oil.
The petroleum was found in an area where there are operating wells, Ecopetrol said.
