Colombia high court debates Uribe re-election vote

Feb 26--Colombia's Constitutional Court has begun debating whether to allow a referendum that could clear the way for President Alvaro Uribe to seek a third consecutive term.

Judges are expected to vote on the issue later Friday. Their decision is final and cannot be appealed.

The court approved a previous constitutional reform on presidential term limits in 2005. That change let Uribe seek and win a new four-year term in 2006.
