Colombia’s Army Finds Large Guerrilla Arms Cache
May 27 -- The army seized thousands of rounds of ammunition, firearms, grenades and explosives over the weekend from a Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, arsenal in a jungle area of the southern province of Guaviare, military spokesmen said.

The arms cache was found in a rural area outside the city of Calamar and belonged to the FARC’s 1st Front.
The rebels had stored some 3,000 rounds of ammunition, 20 grenades, four launchers for gas bombs and 104 bombs, including a dozen landmines, at the site.
