Jul 16--Camilo Villegas insists he will not be getting carried away despite a hugely promising first round of 66 at the Open Championship on Thursday.

The Colombian produced an inspired back nine at Turnberry to move from level-par at the halfway stage to four-under by the time he left the 18th green.

However, he claimed he would learn from his experience at Birkdale last year when he put himself in contention with a memorable second round of 65 only to fall away over the weekend.

With Thursday's near perfect conditions unlikely to be repeated for the rest of the week, the South American knows patience will be a key virtue.
