10.000 indigenous people arrive in Bogotá after march

After a long march through different regions of the southwest of Colombia, about 10.000 natives reached Bogotá at midday and have settled camp at the Universidad Nacional. They have been protesting against the Colombian government because of the distribution of land for their communities and for the respect of Human Rights.

Tomorrow, Friday, they will have what they call “the great march” and a political debate at the Plaza de Bolívar, the city’s main square.
