The office for prevention and attention of disasters in Colombia informed that at least 137.000 people have been affected by the very strong rainy season that started three weeks ago in the country. 76 municipalities in 16 states are experiencing serious floods, 4 people have died because of this and 15.000 houses have been destroyed by the water. The north of the country has been the most affected, especially all departments that border with the Atlantic coastline. The most affected department is Cordoba, especially after the rivers Sinú and San Jorge overflowed yesterday, leaving almost 45.000 people homeless.
