Affected by rains will receive aid even if they aren’t censed

More that two million people who were affected by Colombia’s recent rainy season are to receive humanitarian aid, even if they don’t appear in the government’s census. The measure was announced by Interior Minister Germán Vargas Lleras, in a document which explained that this way, the government seeks to implement president Juan Manuel Santos’ guideline: that the aid reaches those who need it right away. “Food, sanitary kits, blankets, medicine and other humanitarian items will be distributed without being subject to censuses carried out by emergency organs”, says the document.
