Africa, one of the most important routes for Colombian drugs
One out of every three kilos of Colombian cocaine is transported to Europe through Africa. Reduced safety in those countries, especially in Western Africa, and more controls in other transport routes have caused this increase. Approximately 180 tonnes of Colombian drugs are transported through Africa into Europe.
Members of the offices against organised crime of African states like Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Togo, Ghana, Senegal and Gambia, are in Colombia to discuss this problem.
