Colombia beat Haiti 2-0 in friendly match


With goals by Vladimir Marin and Macnelly Torres, Colombia’s national soccer team beat Haiti in a friendly match played in Pereira, a city in the Colombian coffee zone. Goalkeeper Miguel Calero, who currently plays in the Mexican league, saved a penalty in the first half.

Eduardo Lara’s team will continue its preparations for the World Cup qualifying match against Bolivia in Bogotá, on 28 March. It is currently seventh in the general South American standings.
