Colombia says goodbye to Joe Arroyo

On Tuesday July 26th at 7:45 in the morning the giant of Colombian tropical music, Joe Arroyo, died of cardiac arrest in a hospital in the city of Barranquilla. The Singer, author of 47 albums and more than 90 songs, about half located in the first place, died at 55 years old after being several days in intensive care for heart, lung and kidney problems. El Joe, as he was known in the country, was in several renowned orchestras such as Fruko y sus Tesos, that led him to fame in the 1970s. Later in 1981 he creates his own band called La Verdad, with this orchestra he made greatest hits. Colombians, big fans of his work, mourn and remember him. The message written on Twitter by the President, Juan Manuel Santos, describes the affection of Colombians to the singer. "A great loss for music and for Colombia".
