Colombia signs UNASUR drug fighting plan

29 de octubre de 2010

Colombian government signed an action plan to face drug related issues in the whole continent last Thursday at a Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) meeting in Quito. Ten out of the 12 members of the multilateral organ signed the plan, which aims at reducing the drug supply and demand by sharing intelligence information about the drug trafficking between the countries. Given Colombia’s long term fight against this illegal business, its government can share valuable and useful experience in the matter, said Germán Vargas Lleras, Interior Minister.
