Colombian businessmen reject expropriation of Exito stores in Venezuela

Private sectors in Colombia criticized Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez after he ordered last Sunday the closing of Exito stores in that country. According to them, the measure inhibits foreign investment. Mr. Chávez ordered the seizure of this chain, owned by Colombian and French partners, claiming that increased prices after he devaluated the Bolivar (Venezuelan currency) last week.
