Colombian Defense Minister, Rodrigo Rivera, will meet the Secretary of Defense of the United States, Robert Gates, and other senior officials of the American government. The visit aims to deepen the bilateral relationship and make a comprehensive review of issues related to strengthening cooperation in security and defense. Rivera will be in United States during five days, responding to an invitation that Gates made him during a meeting they had in Bolivia last month. His trip includes visits to Miami, Fort Worth (Texas) and Washington, D.C.
