Colombian government to denounce guerrillas before UN

Colombian Juan Manuel Santos’ government is planning to denounce recent attacks by FARC and ELN guerrillas before the United Nations. “We don’t need anyone to exercise justice for us”, said Defense Minister, Rodrigo Rivera. “But this political complaint will go to the UN and the International community, so that there’s a universal condemnation of this terrorist attacks”, he continued. According to the Minister, attacks like the one in which 14 policemen were killed by the FARC, are part of a guerrilla strategy aiming to make people lose faith in the government’s ‘Democratic Security’ policy.
