24 de noviembre de 2008

Radio station W Radio aired a phone conversation this morning between David Murcia head of DMG who in now in prison, and one of his associates. There they spoke about 400 million COP (about 170.000 USD) they gave to Pedro Alonso Sanabria, then candidate to Governors office in Cundinamarca. He did not win the election that took place in October of last year, but is now a judge magistrate for the Consejo nacional de la judicatura, a high court which has already been questioned because its judges care more about participating politics that judiciary principles. What has also risen questions is that Sanabria’s candidacy to the high court had been sponsored by president Alvaro Uribe himself.

The Procuraduría, the solicitor general’s office, is already looking into which politicians DMG supported economically to win the local elections of 2007.
