Colombian National Registrar accepts mistakes in legislative elections

Registrar Carlos Ariel Sánchez accepted responsibility for the delays in vote counting of the congressional elections held on Sunday. According to Sánchez this occurred because of the sheer number of votes that had to be processed. And besides, the database from the telecommunications agency UNE also failed. On Tuesday morning, started again the vote counting for the Conservative party primaries, and the final results will be known until Saturday.
