Farc apparently kidnapped three students in Chocó

6 de octubre de 2008

As Patrocinio Sanchez, governor of the state of Chocó, confirmed to radio station W Radio this morning three students between the ages of 16 and 19 years were apparently kidnapped by the 34th front of the Farc guerrilla in a place known as San Martín de Purré, close to the state capital Quibdó. The authorities believe it to be an extortive kidnapping, since initially nine people were held captive but six of them were released after the members of the subversive groups confirmed the poor financial state of their families.
