Government lowers next year’s economic growth goal

Colombian minister of the treasury, Óscar Iván Zuluaga, announced today that the growth goal for 2009, that had originally been estimated in 5%, has now been projected between 4% and 3% in a mid point of 3.5%. He also announced that the country has already guaranteed 2.400 million dollars for finance purposes that the multilateral organizations like the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank and the Andean Development Corporation have offered for next year.
