Honduran President visits Colombia

24 de mayo de 2010

On Monday morning, Honduran President Porfirio Lobo arrived to Bogotá to meet with Colombian president Álvaro Uribe and thank him for recognizing his government. Lobo won the presidential elections held after Manuel Zelaya was thrown from power on June last year and has been criticized by other Latin-American governments. Lobo will stay in the country until Tuesday and he also plans to meet with Bogotá’s Mayor Samuel Moreno and Senate president Javier Caceres to discuss topics such as security and education.
