Margaret Tatcher praises President Uribe

Former British Prime Minister Margart Tatcher praised Arvaro Uribe’s “strong leadership” in a letter sent on Friday to the Colombian President. “Under his strong leadership”, the letter reads, “the forces of law and order have fought the terrorists and criminals who did much to weaken the government of his country and sow fear in the lives of many of his countrymen”. She also highlighted Colombian “economic growth” during the outgoing president’s administration.
