“Neighboring countries don’t need a visa to enter Colombia”: President Uribe

Colombian president Álvaro Uribe insisted that his government will not force Venezuelan citizens to apply for a visa to enter Colombia. This announcement occurred a day after some newspapers and magazines stated that President Hugo Chávez was planning to remove Colombia from the list of countries whose citizens do not need a document to travel. Neither country has been officially notified of any changes in the visa requirements.
