On Thursday, United States President Barack Obama called Colombia's President-elect Juan Manuel Santos to congratulate him for his victory in the June 20th run-off election and invited him to visit Washington. After both reaffirmed the U.S.-Colombian ties, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also passed to the phone and told Santos that the House of Representatives in the United States had passed a non-binding voice resolution in support to his election.
