President Uribe: "Eight years are not enough"

12 de febrero de 2010

During an interview with a local radio station, Colombian president Alvaro Uribe discreetly hinted that he would like to run for re-election. He said that eight years were not enough to regain security in a country which has enjoyed only 47 years of peace during its 200 year long history. He also affirmed that his spirit is ready to fight and work for this country until his last day of life. When asked about other presidential candidates, he prefered not to answer but beckoned Colombians to choose a leader who would no stray off course.
