President-elect Juan Manuel Santos named on Wednesday both the Defense and Interior Ministers, who will take possession of their posts next August 7. Former Liberal senator Rodrigo Rivera is to be the new Defense Minister, while former presidential candidate Germán Vargas Lleras, from Cambio Radical party, will manage Colombia's Interior portfolio. The announcements were made the same day that current vice-president and president-elect's brother Francisco Santos, had stated that naming Vargas Lleras in the cabinet would be like "letting the mouse look after the cheese". He referred to Vargas' opposition against Uribe's intentions to be reelected, despite his former allegiance to the President.
Un trino de Santos indigna a Maduro y él amenaza con revelar los secretos del proceso de paz. Invocar el anti-colombianismo no cambia el hecho de que la crisis venezolana está llegando a un punto de inflexión.
