The national intelligence service (DAS) notifies arrest with purpose of extradition for alias “Martín Sombra”

Helí Mejía Mendoza alias "Martín Sombra", also known as “the jailer of the Farc”, and had Ingrid Betancurt and the three American contractors under his custody.

According to the Colombian National intelligence service (DAS), they under the coordination of the FBI notified “Martin Sombra” at the Carcel Modelo jail in Bogotá about the arrest order with purpose of extradition of the Fiscalía, attorney general’s office, according to the request of the district court of Columbia in the united States to be judged for crimes related to kidnapping and terrorism.

“Martin Sombra” known leader of the headquarters of the Farc is one of the most important men in that organization. He was captured on February 18th and is accused for the crimes of torture, homicide, extortive kidnapping, rebellion and forced disappearance.
