The ‘Route of the Sun’ Mega highway is adjudicated

One of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Latin America, and the most important one for Colombia, know as the Route of the Sun, is now closer to becoming a reality. The project, which plans to build a mega highway to connect the interior of the country with the Atlantic Coast, is more than 1000 kilometers long and has a cost of 2.6 billion dollars. Yesterday, the first two legs of the highway were adjudicated to the Via Helios consortium and to a synergy between Brazilian firm Oderbrecht and Corficolombiana, respectively.
