UN offers aid to face winter

The United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, announced on Monday that the UN is willing to help Colombia to face the floods and other emergencies caused by the winter’s heavy rains. “I thank president Santos for coming to the United Nations in this difficult time”, said Ban from New York after a meeting with Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos. “I want to take time also to show our solidarity with the victims of the floods in Colombia and their families” he added, after congratulating the mandatary “for his first 100 days of good leadership for Colombia”.
