Venezuela recalled its ambassador in Colombia

16 de julio de 2010

Venezuela’s foreign relations minister, Nicolás Maduro, said that his country’s ambassador in Colombia will be recalled. The announcement was made when Maduro responded the Colombian president Álvaro Uribe’s denounce on guerilla presence in the neighboring country. He added that difficulties with Colombia can only get solved politically, and announced that a protest note will be sent to the Colombian ambassador in Caracas, María Luisa Chiappe.
