Immigrant population in Spain grew in 2008 and now it has become 12% of the Spanish population. Nearly 5.600.000 legal foreigners currently live in Spain, representing a 6,3% increase compared to 2007 data. More than 30% of those immigrants are from Latin America, especially form Ecuador and Colombia. Spain has a population of 46 million people.
