Galeras volcano erupts again, 8,000 people will be evacuated

On Sunday morning, the Galeras volcano, located in the southern Colombian province of Nariño, near its capital city Pasto, erupted again. The activity of the volcano has been constant and authorities from the National Geology Institute (Ingeominas) are worried that it may get worse. They have issued a red alert and are have advised 8,000 people to leave their homes. So far, no deaths or injuries have been reported.
