Strong rain season has left more than half a millions victims in Colombia

The second winter wave of 2008, that started on September 15th, has already left 509.741 people affected, as was informed by the National direction of attention and prevention of disasters.

This number includes 100.392 families, 306 homes completely destroyed and 40.591 severely damaged.

This has caused 280 emergencies in 221 municipalities in 25 departments. The main reasons are avalanches, strong winds, landslides and floods.
