Colombia and Brazil fulfill the world’s requirements for Biofuels production
Feb 18 -- “I think that Brazil and Colombia can tell to the World that we fulfill the global requirements for the biofuel production, because we have two commitments: taking care of our tropical rain forests and guarantee our food security”, said President Alvaro Uribe during a press conference at the end of a meeting with the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

According to the President, Brazil and Colombia has stated, and are achieving, that their main contribution to fight global warming is taking care of the Amazon Jungle, without having an effect on food security
.
“We can stand for our biofuel policy, because neither of the two countries attempt against the food security. Fortunately our agricultural boundary allows us to have large growth in the field of food security, and a large growth in the field of biofuels production” the Head of State explained.
