Colombia holds legislative elections

March 15--Colombia held legislative elections on Sunday, with voters electing 166 members for the House of Representatives and 102 for the Senate, and also having the opportunity to directly elect the country’s five Andean Parliament members for the first time, while the Green and Conservative parties also held their primaries for the May 30 presidential election.

Colombia held legislative elections on Sunday, with 166 seats in the House of Representatives and 102 Senate seats up for grabs.

Voters, moreover, had the opportunity to directly elect the country’s five Andean Parliament members for the first time, and the Green and Conservative parties were holding their primaries for the May 30 presidential election.

The residents of eight provinces were also casting ballots in the “Voto Caribe” non-binding referendum on territorial autonomy.
