25 members of the military removed from the army because of the case of the people who disappeared near Bogotá and were found dead in Ocaña

One of the biggest shake ups in the history of the Colombian Army occurred today as 25 members of these armed forces, three of them generals, where removed from service. President Álvaro Uribe, the minister of defense and the commander of the military forces said during a press conference today that these men were removed from the Army because their investigation has shown that they could have had some degree of participation in the disappearance of many young men who were killed and then passed as guerrillas who died in combat.
