Army apologizes to parents of killed children

A group of Colombian Army commanders privately apologized to the parents of three children who were brutally killed by members of the Armed Forces in eastern Arauca department. Jenny, Jimmy and Jeferson Torres died at the hands of lieutenant Raúl Muñóz Linares, who admitted to have raped two girls in the same location. The senior officers went to the humble home of Mr. José Álvaro Torres, who demanded severe punishment for those involved in the case, which has badly stricken Colombia’s humor . The man also asked for protection, given that he fears retaliations from the military.
