“Colombia wants to reestablish relations with Ecuador”: Bermúdez

Colombian foreign minister Jaime Bermúdez recently said the national government was willing to reestablish diplomatic relations with Ecuador. On the other hand, Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa has said that in order for things to return to normal there are conditions Colombia must meet, such as ending what Correa calls a Colombian campaign to link his country and the FARC, and the handing over to his government the information gathered during the military operation of March 2008 that ended with the death of FARC commander Raúl Reyes.
