Fidel Castro: Colombia has become a U.S. military base

27 de agosto de 2010

Former Cuban President Fidel Castro criticized the presence of U.S. military bases in Latin America and stated that Colombia “has become a (military) base”. During a meeting with Russian writer Daniel Estulin in La Habana on Thursday, he also said that “'they don't have them in Venezuela (…) In Honduras, they have them. In Costa Rica, but they do have 40 boats with aircraft carriers and helicopters pads 'nobly' helping in the fight against drugs. It is total cynicism".
