Goalkeeper Oscar Cordoba returns to Colombia's national soccer team

39 years-old Millonarios’ goalkeeper Oscar Cordoba received a last minute call on Monday to join the national team in the last two games of the World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Paraguay.

Once considered among the best goalkeepers in the world, Cordoba hasn’t played for Colombia’s squad since 2006 and was called to replace Santa Fe’s Agustin Julio, injured during the weekend.

Colombia ranks eighth in the 10-team South American Zone, two points behind the fifth place that offers the last option to qualifiy for the World Cup in a play-off. The team will play against Chile in Medellin on Saturday.
