Mayor of Bogotá faces controversy over alleged links with pyramid scheme leader

Samuel Moreno Rojas, the left of center mayor of Bogotá, said that he “never met with David Murcia Guzmán (head of DMG pyramid scheme) during my political campaign”.

There is a scandal in Colombia’s capita after it was revealed that members of DMG allegedly had meetings with Maria Eugenia Rojas, the mayor’s mother and closest political advisor Furthermore, according to media reports, Bogotá’s ombudsman, Francisco Rojas Birry, would have received money from the pyramid scheme.
