Santos meets Angela Merkel

Colombia´s president-elect met with Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday afternoon. After the closed-door meeting, which was held for 30 minutes at the Reich Chancellery in Berlin, Santos highlighted the excellent relations between the two countries. He said to have obtained Merkel’s support for Colombia´s entrance to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. Meetings with France’s president Nicolas Sarrkozy and Spain’s José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero are to follow in the European tour that the president-elect is currently carrying out.
