Uribe to declare State of Internal Commotion

Colombian President Álvaro Uribe will declare the State of Internal Commotion to strength the judicial system. With this temporary measure, the government seeks to prevent the release of dangerous criminals. According to the President the measure doesn’t intent to accelerate the appointment of a new Prosecutor’s general, delayed for months by the Supreme Court.
