Venezuelan commission denounces plan to kill president Chavez was supposedly being brewed in Colombia Venezuelan commission denounces plan to kill president Chavez was supposedly being brewed in Colombia
Mario Isea, president of the parliamentary commission created in Venezuela to investigate possible plans to assassinate president Hugo Chávez, declared today to Venezuelan state radio station VTV that they had discovered three such plans, one of them was supposedly being organized in Colombia.
“We know that a plan A against president Chávez would be blowing up the plane he uses…A plan B would consist in attacking the president with the cannon found in the state of Zulia”, said Isea. About a plan C he declared that “there are evidences of paramilitary movements in the state of Zulia”, which borders on Colombia and is governed by opposition leader an former presidential candidate Manuel Rosales. “Plan C would be attacking him (Chávez) no matter what context he might be in…no matter if there is a mass of people or security officials. And that last plan has its center of gravity in Colombia”.
