2 Arms Dealers Convicted of Plot to Aid Terrorists

Nov 21 -- A federal jury in Manhattan convicted an arms dealer and one of his associates on Thursday in a plot to sell millions of dollars in weapons that, they were told, would be used to kill Americans.

The merchant, Monzer al-Kassar, 63, a Syrian native who was extradited in June from Spain to New York, has been involved in illegal weapons deals and money laundering for more than 30 years, officials have said.
