Uribe moves closer to third term in Colombia
Sept 09--Colombian President Alvaro Uribe has signed legislation calling for a national referendum that would allow him to seek a third term in office.

The constitution has already been amended once to permit Mr Uribe to serve a second four-year term.
If the Constitutional Court approves the new legislation, it will be put before the people in a nationwide referendum.
