Colombian Government will lower tariffs for AH1NI Medical Equipment

Luis Guillermo Plata, Minister of Commerce and Tourism, announced yesterday that the government will try to facilitate the importation of medical equipment needed for swine flu patients by lowering or eliminating the tariffs completely. The medical equipment is urgently needed for intensive care patients and those who suffer acute respiratory problems. In Colombia, more than one thousand people have been diagnosed with the virus and 65 have died.
