Colombia Defender Ivan Cordoba: We Need To Beat Ecuador At All Costs

Colombia defender Ivan Ramiro Cordoba understands that his national team are in much need of the three points against Ecuador, because anything less will surely put an end to their World Cup hopes.

Cordoba, of Inter Milan, knows that Colombia have no choice but to inflict a defeat upon the Ecuadorians in Medellin.

"We know that only one result matters in the match, which is a victory, any other result will make the possibility of qualifying for the World Cup very difficult. That is why we need a triumph and for that we will work very hard," said Cordoba.

The veteran also expressed his satisfaction for being able to represent the national team in Medellin, the city where he was born.
