FARC kidnapper extradited to the US

Gerardo Aguilar Ramírez, Alias César, is now in the United States where he will stand trial and face charges for drug trafficking. The US government had asked for his extradition in September 2008.

César was known for guarding some of FARC’s most important political hostages and was captured one year ago, during Operation Checkmate, when he was tricked into handing 15 kidnap victims to undercover soldiers.
