In a video released by the Associated Press this Friday, Jorge Briceño Súarez, alias “Mono Jojoy”, the second-ranking commander of FARC, stated that the rebel group gave money to President Rafael Correa of Ecuador for his presidential campaign in 2006. That country's minister of security, Miguel Carvajal, denied any links of Correa's government with Colombian guerrillas.
